Uniting people and organizations to enhance the lives of older Oregonians.

Founded in 1979 by a coalition of aging services professionals, OGA is Oregon's largest interdisciplinary gerontological organization.

OGA helps members enhance their knowledge, skills, and effectiveness through:

  • Education and training – OGA sponsors aging-related educational programs (Breakfast Seminars, Workshops, Conferences) throughout the state.

  • Information exchange – OGA’s website provides links to and up-to-date information on aging and aging-related issues.

  • Individual networking – OGA’s programs and membership directory provide opportunities for members to meet, build a professional network and share information.

  • Organizational networking – OGA provides a forum to share information and strengthen linkages among organizations.

  •  Resource coordination – OGA partners with other organizations to offer or help publicize relevant education and training opportunities.
