Sonia_Huntley.jpgSonia Huntley, MD, was a practicing internal medicine physician when her young son was diagnosed with terminal cancer and her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.  Help-ing her family over the next few years brought new insight on the patient’s experience.  As a result, she founded Health Advocate Services a care management business, to guide others through the health care maze.

Megan Lawler, PsyD, received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1985. Over the next two decades she was active in community mental health as an administrator, consultant, and trainer to a number of not-for-profit agencies and hospi-tals. As her own parents became elderly she became increasingly interested and involved in the study of aging; leading to the attainment of a Certificate of Gerontology from Marylhurst University.

Amy Schultz, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in Oregon and Washington. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Arizona State University with a focus on health and geropsy-chology and completed postdoctoral training in geropsychology through Harvard Medial School and the Boston VA Medical Center. Dr. Schultz founded the OPAL Institute (Oregon Passionate Aging & Living) as a vehicle for helping people optimize the aging journey. She specializes in neuropsychological
assessment of older adults and consultation with families about brain functioning and aging transitions.
