Sonia Huntley, MD,
was a practicing internal medicine physician when her young son was
diagnosed with terminal cancer and her mother was diagnosed with
Alzheimer’s disease. Help-ing her family over the next few years
brought new insight on the patient’s experience. As a result, she
founded Health Advocate Services a care management business, to guide
others through the health care maze.

Megan Lawler, PsyD, received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1985. Over the next two decades she was active in community mental health as an administrator, consultant, and trainer to a number of not-for-profit agencies and hospi-tals. As her own parents became elderly she became increasingly interested and involved in the study of aging; leading to the attainment of a Certificate of Gerontology from Marylhurst University.

Amy Schultz, PhD,
is a licensed psychologist in Oregon and Washington. She received her
Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Arizona State University with a focus
on health and geropsy-chology and completed postdoctoral training in
geropsychology through Harvard Medial School and the Boston VA Medical
Center. Dr. Schultz founded the OPAL Institute (Oregon Passionate Aging
& Living) as a vehicle for helping people optimize the aging
journey. She specializes in neuropsychological
assessment of older adults and consultation with families about brain functioning and aging transitions.
