Looking back and looking forward: A conversation about the past and future of the Oregon Gerontological Association
Each year, in the Fall, Oregon Gerontological Association members meet to review the state of the organization and to elect Board Members and Officers for the coming year. This year’s meeting, in anticipation of OGA's thirtieth birthday in 2009, will begin the celebrations with a live dialogue between founding Board Member and past President Ruth Shepherd and current President Jennifer Sasser. Ruth Shepherd served as President-elect during the founding year of 1979 and then served as President in 1980. The two OGA presidents will discuss the origins, achievements, challenges, and opportunities of Oregon's largest and longest-living statewide professional organization in the field of aging.
Because this presentation is part of OGA's annual business meeting, we'll also be introducing the newest members of the Board of Directors, as well as inviting participants to offer their input on the organization's educational efforts for the upcoming year.
