Bring your lunch and join us for this event!

Presenter Walter Dawson, PhD, is a health and aging policy researcher and lifelong advocate for people living with Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Dawson currently serves as an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health with the Global Brain Health Institute at the University of California, San Francisco, and is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute on Aging at Portland State University. His research focuses on comparative health policy, long-term services and supports financing, and public policies and programs that support people living with dementia and their family care partners.

The presentation explores the way systems-level interventions including public policies can promote brain health. Dr. Dawson’s research focuses on reducing the economic burden of dementia on individuals, families, and the public programs that fund care. As an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health, Dr. Dawson will also discuss the innovative approach of the Global Brain Health Institute, co-located at the University of California, San Francisco and Trinity College Dublin Ireland, to advance equity in brain health across the world.
