Oregon LGBTQ+ Older Adult Survey Results

This presentation is to share results from the first ever statewide survey of adults age 55 and older who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, Two Spirit and non-binary as well as sexual or gender diverse (LGBTQ+) to provide detailed feedback on the needs and supports of Oregon’s LGBTQ+ older adults. Survey participants were also asked to highlight strengths within the state’s various LGBTQ+ communities. Survey results will be shared as well as proposed next steps and action items. 

Intended audience:  This presentation is appropriate for all professionals working with older adults, whether in a long-term care or health care setting or a community center or community based organization. It is also appropriate for educators, researchers, and students in the field of gerontology, sociology, social work, public health, and health sciences. Finally, professionals working at the city, county, or state level of government and community developers can gain from a richer understanding of the LGBTQ aging experience.

  • Non-members: $10
  • Non-member students/seniors and registrants with limited financial means: $5

Why do we ask for a fee?

OGA is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. Events and donations are our main sources of income to fund our educational and networking programs.

Please note that we offer CEUs only for our annual conference in October, not for our regular events. However, we are happy to issue a Certificate of Attendance upon request for those who attend this webinar for its entire length. To request one, please send us an email after the event.
