“Sex, Drugs, & Walk ‘n’ Roll: Promoting Healthy Aging for All”

This year’s conference will highlight a holistic approach to health and well-being in later life for all, including older adults with varying ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Keynote speakers include Dr. Alethea Fleming, ND, of Vital Aging Clinic, Anacortes, WA, who will present on naturopathic approaches to healthy aging, and Rev. Dr. Alice Scannell, gerontologist, educator and Episcopal priest, who will discuss her recent book, Radical Resilience.

Additional speakers will address a variety of issues important for older adults, including sex and aging in care communities, substance use and abuse in later life, therapeutic benefits of music for older adults, food as medicine, and physical activity promotion for all.

Accommodation

We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salem North-Keizer. This is a new hotel located at Keizer Station, about 1 mile from the Keizer Community Center (the conference venue), with lots of restaurants and shopping across the street and within a couple of blocks.

Reservations must be made by September 24, 2019, to receive the group rate of $140.00 plus tax (valid for Thursday, October 24, 2019 and Friday, October 25, 2019 only). Should a sufficient number of rooms not be reserved, the rate will be higher, so please book soon!
